Visiting Home

My wonderful siblings spent a few wonderful days in Paykek, Kapangan, our hometown. Wasn't able to join because of work. Sigh. Jealous me...Anyways, just wanted to share some of their photos.

View from the kitchen sink. This makes washing dishes really relaxing :)
For me, growing up in the province was such a blessing for so many reasons. One, you get to enjoy something like this! This entire mountainside was our sliding area using boxes or plywood that we found under our grandparents' house. We used candles to make the surface of the wood smoother. But if no candles? We used dried cow poo. Ain't that amazing! It really works haha!

This was our great grandparent's house.Got so many really beautiful memories here. It was once a very happy place. Now, it's empty.
Lola's kitchen.When it's cold, it becomes a fireplace :)
Be warned, the next photo is graphic haha.
When it rains, be sure to walk fast or else these tiny blood-sucking creatures will come climbing up on you!
