Last week, a friend of mine from
the UK came to Baguio for a quick visit. I know she's been waiting for this
moment to be able to travel now that she's officially an adult.
So our first destination was San Juan, La Union, the Surfing Capital of the North, because April and Divino really wanted to try surfing. I, too, was so excited to see the ocean again, not on the surfing part though. You see, a month ago, I found out that I am pregnant :) Since I'm in my first trimester, I know that I have to be extra, extra careful. So nope, thank you! I'd rather stay on the shore and take delight in watching the sun set and listening to the sound of the ocean waves, with my little one inside my tummy :)

The next day, we came back up to the mountains, to Baguio City, the Summer Capital of the Philippines. We quickly visited Tam-awan Village, an art gallery that displays really beautiful artworks of Baguio and Benguet-based artists, including indigenous art pieces and native huts of of the Cordilleran people.

Next stop was Arca's Yard Cafe,
one of my favorites. The view and the cafe itself was so nice, not to mention
the yummy camote cake. I am a coffee monster but this time, I only had a warm
mug of chocolate since I'm trying to stay away from caffeine for now...yeah, for now.

Had some pasta and lemonade at Oh, My Gulay, a "rooftop garden restaurant" along Session Road.

Then we had a super quick walk at Camp John Hay...

The next day, before April jumped
on the bus back to Manila, she guested on Divino's radio program called
AwitLikha which is an hour program where Christian songwriters are invited to
share their stories and their songs to bring encouragement and hope to
listeners. April has always been into music and this time, it's her time
to share her story and her own songs live on air.
